Students

Many of Edith Wiens’ students have established careers in Europe and North America in opera, concert and recital. They have sung at Festivals like  Aix-en-Provence, Glyndebourne, Salzburger Festspiele, Tanglewood, Boston Early Music, Edinburgh, Europäische Festwochen Stuttgart, Berlin Festival, Herrnchiemsee Festival, London Proms, Verbiers, Ravinia, Ludwigsburger Festspiele, Harnoncourt´s Styriarte in Graz etc, with recitals repeatedly in Wigmore Hall, Musikverein Vienna, Carnegie Hall, New York.

Orchestral engagements include,  among many others, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, the Israel Philharmonic, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Dresden Staatskapelle, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Cleveland Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, Toronto Symphony, Montreal Symphony and the New York Philharmonic. 

Recording contracts include the Deutsche Gramophon,  Naxos and Warner Classics.
